When I created my profile, I got a message that the application deadline has passed. What do I do?
You don’t have to do anything, and nothing is wrong! The application will open at noon on Monday 11/15.

How much does this cost?
There is no cost for classes or training. 

Do I have to be a resident of Hudson County?
No, this unique program is open to all residents of New Jersey.

Can I apply if I live in NY or PA?
No, this program is open to NJ residents only.

Do I have to travel to Hudson County Community College for my classes?
No. Student-Apprentices will take classes at HCCC online, and will attend Local 825 training and classes at the Local 825 Training Center in Dayton, NJ.

Do I have to pay for my classes at Hudson County Community College?
No.

When will the Apprentice Program open?
The application opens at noon on November 15. The program starts at Orientation on January 18.

What is the test?
The test is the WorkKeys Graphic Literacy Assessment. More information can be found at: https://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/workkeys-for-educators/assessments/graphic-literacy.html

What documents will be accepted as proof of residency?
A utility bill, a cable or cell phone bill, a lease or mortgage, or a bank statement that has your legal name and NJ address on it.

Do I need to upload official transcripts with my application?
Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for the application. If you are selected to enroll, you will be asked to provide official transcripts to HCCC.
